Tags: politics can't be ignored
Well a lot of people probably think I spouted a bunch of nonsense and did nothing about it. The reality is that I spent $35 total on my New Year’s celebrating and gave $40 to Oxfam &/or Doctors Without Borders through the host of our event at the “Hope and Anchor” bar, restaurant and karaoke lounge. Thank you Ms. Kay Sera for your constant reminder of our need to give to this all too important cause.
This is on top of the $25 that I gave to the American Jewish World Service.
Nothing is enough, but it is clear that authere & modest living is something I’m considering more and more deeply, which is a tough thought let alone change considering my very comfortable and currently materialistic life. I don’t see a Ghandi-like life anytime soon, but the thought alone feels transforming in a way.
