“Innovation has nothing to do with how many R&D dollars you have. When Apple came up with the Mac, IBM was spending at least 100 times more on R&D. It's not about money. It's about the people you have, how you're led, and how much you get it.” - Steve Jobs

Will teach for …

One of the best advantages of being a professor is getting 16wks off every summer. But that length of time quickly gets boring unless you find ways to fill it. One of the ways I like to do to fill it is to travel around the world to anywhere that will sponsor me and hopefully throw in a some extra to sweeten the pot.

I know that travel expenses plus a stipend for some (especially intercontinental) can be a lot to bear, so when I know I’m traveling some place I like to put out an announcement that I’m available within certain parameters.

During June 2011 I will be in Italy, Florence to be exact, from the 16-17. So I am looking for an organization in Europe who is interested in me teaching a workshop or doing a lecture or consult on a project either the period before or after.

My topics at this time Include:
– sketching (not drawing) as the ultimate design tool
– designing for gestural interfaces
– master classes in interaction design
– educating the next generation of interaction designers

I’m also open to creative ideas.

There is also a chance I’ll be in Copenhagen for 3wks in July & could be available the 1st week of July or August.

For you USers, I love you too and would love to help out your organizations too. Try me!
